Physical Description: Sturdy
frame. Looks bigger than his listed height and weight and has
gotten stronger since he signed.
Mechanics:
Throws from a three-quarters arm slot. Rhythmic delivery. Starts
on the first base side of the rubber. High leg kick. Short arm
action back with a stab, but hides the ball well. Quick arm
action coming forward. Gets above-average extension.
Fastball: 91-93 mph. Tops out at 94 mph.
Velocity has ticked up a little each year. Pitch gets on hitters
quickly due to his high extension. Potential average offering
with the chance to improve as he continues to physically mature.
Curveball: 74-78 mph. Advanced feel.
Vertical shape with depth. Can really snap it off and has shown
the ability to either bury it down and out of the zone or land
it in the zone.
Slider: 80-82 mph.
Short, horizontal break.

Changeup: 80-82 mph. Deceptive arm speed. Some
late fade.
Career Notes: Was set to
participate in the 2022 Fall Performance Program that was
canceled due to Hurricane Ian.
Summation:
Wide range of potential outcomes, but has several traits teams
look for in young pitchers and has gained velocity and improved
each year. Intriguing arm who already shows a four-pitch mix.
Could see his velocity tick up even more and break out in 2024
if he shows consistency with his command and secondary pitches.
Fastball and curveball give him a solid baseline to miss bats at
the lower levels, but needs to continue to develop the rest of
his arsenal.
