Physical Description: Average frame with
minimal remaining projection.
Mechanics:
Throws from a three-quarters arm slot. High leg kick. Swings arm
behind before coming forward. Has effort in his delivery.
Fastball: 92-96 mph. Tops out at 97 mph.
Will start games at the high end of that band before settling in
at 91-94 mph. Shows late movement at times. Explosive. Needs to
make major strides with command and control. Potential for
below-average command and control in the future. Potential plus
fastball with improved command and control.
Slider: 81-85 mph. Hard, late break at its best, with
depth and tight rotation when he snaps it off. Can get sweepy
with more of a 10-to-4 shape at lower velocities. Posts high
spin rates. Potential above-average slider.
Changeup: 81-83 mph. Pitch can be effective against
righties when he throws it well.

Career Notes: Mostly pitched out of the bullpen
in college, but has been developed as a starter thus far.
Excelled in the Cape Cod League during summer 2019, putting up a
3.16 ERA with 25 strikeouts in 26 innings. Participated in 2020
Fall Instructional League. Participated in the Fall Performance
Program in 2021. Participated in 2022 Winter Warm-Up.
Did not pitch in 2022 and miss two-and-a-half months of 2023 after undergoing Tommy John surgery on
April 27, 2022.
Summation: Potential middle reliever.
Ceiling of a late-inning reliever. Fastball/slider combination
could make him a very effective reliever, especially if stuff
plays up in short bursts, but success will likely be determined
by how his command and control develop. Has shown ability to
miss bats with both of his primary pitches, but walk rate must
come down. Fits the profile of a typical Red Sox target with arm
strength and high spin rates on his breaking ball. Will be given
the chance to start, but will need to show significant
development with third pitch as well as command/control in order
to have a chance to remain in that role. Bullpen remains an
intriguing fallback option given how his velocity may play up in
short outings.
